Who are the Fordians?
The franchise, in existence since 2002. The team is affiliated with
the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) and the National
Athletic Baseball Association (NABF). We play in the ENYCBL
eastern Division. As several of the longstanding Fordian
players turned 23 years old in 2008 Waterford Joined The
Albany Twilight League with One of their Two College aged
teams.
What kind of league is the ENYCBL?
Established in 2002, the ENYCBL is a wood bat league with
players with college eligibility. The league is primarily composed of
college players from junior college to Division I. All teams compete at
premier fields every day of the week for a 30-game
league schedule.
What kind of season do the Fordians compete in?
The Fordians not only compete in their 30 league games, but they
also schedule 25-30 additional games to give them a 50+ game schedule.
Their non-league schedule includes competition against Atlantic
Collegiate League (ACBL) teams and New York Collegiate League teams
(NYCBL), as well as various tournaments in the Northeast. Other non-league games include opponents who have reached
the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) and participants
of the Upper New York State Championship Tournament. We also
compete for the (NABF) College World Series, which gives players
a chance to play in front of professional coaches and scouts.
What have the Fordians accomplished since they have been in existence?
The Fordians have accomplished a number of championships and accolades.
